Lucky Cat Adoptions, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501-C-3, non-profit, charitable organization.

We exist solely on donations and our own fund raising efforts. Every penny of our proceeds pay for veterinary care, food, boarding and essential expenses.

Rescuing, and rehabilitating hundreds of homeless, abandoned and neglected strays every year costs MANY THOUSANDS of dollars. Without the support of generous and caring people like you, Lucky Cat Adoptions could not exist.

Funds for veterinary care, medications, food, litter, collars, tags, crates and essential supplies and operating expenses are raised in a variety of ways:

Adoption Donations - A portion of our money comes from the adoption donation we receive when a cat is adopted. Unfortunately, the adoption donation does not typically cover the costs (actual out of pocket expenses) involved in saving the cat (medical care and boarding). The average cost for each cat that comes through rescue is $100.00.

Monetary Donations - Monetary donations to Lucky Cat Adoptions are income tax deductible as allowed by law. To make a donation to Lucky Cat Adoptions, please send your check to the address below, payable to Lucky Cat Adoptions, Inc. We will send a written confirmation to you by mail that your donation has been received. Please save your canceled check as proof of your tax deductible donation and consult your tax accountant regarding your donation..

How To Match Gifts: If you work for (or have retired from) one of the many companies that will match employee donations to Lucky Cat Adoptions, you simply need to contact your company's matching gift office (usually the HR department or division management, unless the company has a foundation or a philanthropy/ community support office), request a matching gift form (this will help us properly process your donation), and send the "matching gift form" along with your donation. When we get the matching gift form, we will notify your employer, and when your gift is matched, we'll let you know. Please note many companies also match contributions of retirees and employees' spouses. If your company is not listed, please check with your employer to see if they will match your gift to Lucky Cat Adoptions. If your company does match nonprofit contributions, please let us know so we can add them to the list.

Put your old cell phone to good use. Click here to donate your old phone and let some Lucky Cats reap the rewards! Simply find your cell phone in the list of phones that are accepted, submit your personal information and a box with a prepaid return label will be sent directly to you. The value of the cell phone will be donated to Lucky Cat Adoptions in your name. This is so easy and you can participate no matter where in the US you live! The best part is that every dollar raised will help save a homeless cat!

Printer Cartridge Recycling Program: Don't throw away those used ink jets or laser printer cartridges - donate them to Lucky Cat Adoptions and help us raise money to save more strays! This is a great, environmentally sound way to bring in some extra money for our programs, and every dollar helps! Make sure everyone at your workplace knows to save used ink cartridges (and old cell phones, too!). If there are businesses that you regularly patronize, why not offer to collect their ink cartridges as well? You can drop off your donated cartridges to us each Sunday from Noon to 5:00 p.m. at PETsMART on Southside Boulevard or contact us at adopt@luckycatadoptions.org to make other arrangements! We appreciate your support!!

Ebay Auctions - What do you have lying around the house, collecting dust, that could earn some money to help a homeless cat or kitten? If you would like to donate an item or service, please email us at adopt@luckycatadoptions.org. If you have an item you would like to donate for an Ebay auction, please let us know! You can also host the auction yourself and donate all or part of the proceeds!

Example Items: Crafts, Antiques, and Collectibles such as hand-made soaps, candles, quilts and decorative items are very popular. Antiques and collectibles you may have collected and would like to donate to help the cats are always welcome!

Garage Sale Items - We LOVE garage sales, and we have lots of them! Save your clean, usable household items, clothing, books, small appliances, and electronics. Watch the Events Calendar for our next sale. Keep in mind that your donations are tax deductible and receipts will be provided upon request.
